Mullica Hill
Emergency Medicine

The Inspira Health Network – Mullica Hill Emergency Medicine Residency is dedicated to educating the next generation of Emergency Medicine physicians. This residency will focus on the art of practicing safe, high-quality patient-centered medicine in the Emergency Room. The residency training will emphasize patient safety and patient advocacy along with the knowledge and skills necessary to adapt to any ED environment. The program’s core principle of providing care for all patients in the ED with the utmost integrity and professionalism aligns with the mission, values and goals of the sponsoring institution, Inspira Health, within the communities it serves. The communities served are a diverse group of people, representing the entire spectrum of both health and socioeconomics. It is the intention of this residency to meet the demand of such a diverse group of people, and to continue to evaluate the community to meet its needs.

Inspira Mullica Hill is 1 of 132 hospitals in the U.S. to be designated as a Top Teaching Hospital!

Scholarly Activities

Mullica Hill Emergency Medicine’s own ED Director and Chairman, Dr. James Bonner, was invited to speak at the International Stroke Conference (ISC) held in Dallas, TX, on February 8, 2023. He was asked to speak on our use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology in our stroke program at Mullica Hill. As the areas Primary Stroke Center, highlighting the ISC conference day, was our use of AI in patient care as being the ONLY program in the Northeast United States to use it, with data outcomes showing our ability to keep more patients at home, in Mullica Hill, with less tertiary care center transfers for their stroke care.
